Burglars Make Off With Rocking Horse
College Place, WA - A College Place house near 12th Street and Bade Avenue has been burglarized twice in the same week while the residents were home - and police are looking for the suspects. The first burglary occurred at about 4:30 a.m. Jan. 8, when the suspects, a man and a woman, entered an unlocked door to the garage, according to a College Place Police Department release. The second occurred at about 4:45 a.m. Jan. 12. Camping gear, miscellaneous tools and a wooden rocking horse were stolen. The suspects were caught on a security camera in the garage, and appear to be calmly looking through the items. No motive is apparent, College Place Police Chief Troy Tomaras wrote in an email, but it's believed to be because the door was unlocked.
