Rumour Mongering: Liverpool Interested in Timo Werner

It’s confirmation Liverpool at least want a player everyone thinks they should. Maybe. Everybody thinks that Liverpool should be in for Timo Werner. It’s the obvious move. He’s young, he’s talented, he can score goals and press from the front and has the flexibility to play just anywhere in the attack.

If one were to create a player to add to Jürgen Klopp’s squad, it would be hard to do better than Werner, the 22-year-old German forward who’s been linked with everyone from Bayern to Barcelona to Real Madrid.

The problem, at least if you’re a Liverpool fan who thinks the club should be in for him, is that until now nobody with the slightest connection to Liverpool has talked about him as a potential Liverpool target.
