In a related development, a member of the House of Representatives, Chika Adamu, alleged that the killing of former chief of defence staff (CDS) retired Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh must have been planned.

The lawmaker also expressed fears over the rate of killing in the country. “How could a general move alone with his driver and third party?” he asked.
In his contribution, another legislator, Toby Okechukwu, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) representing Enugu state, blamed security agencies for the recent killings in the country.
