Our visit from Finland (12 replies)
Someone might remember me asking for some tips here as we were coming to Birmingham for the first time from Finland.
We saw the Middlesbrough game a week ago and stayed there for a short period from saturday morning to sunday. Long story short: we loved it. Even thought the game was quite rubbish.
The pubs and matchday atmosphere around the stadium was something we dont have in Finland so much. Really loved the culture. My dad (Leeds fan!) summarised our visit to quite well as he said that the whole club and fans feel like a family. It certainly felt that way, dont know how you feel it.
Also, your man Davo is perfect for what he does. Couple of hours before kick-off, he toured us around the stadium and told all kinds lf things about the club. It was really warm welcome and we appreciated it alot.
Lastly, the city centre was something I have never seen. So much old and new blended in together. But dont get me wrong, it was quite nice!
