[Indoor Track & Field] Tigers start indoor season by setting records

Georgetown College men's and women's track and field teams hit the competition circuit Friday in the University of Indianapolis Challenge.

The one-day event saw lots of highlights for the Tigers. Maggie Mollak, Mid-South Conference Female Field Athlete of the Week, threw a new school record in hammer with 15.6 meter. She finished seventh in that competition.

Mollak then finished fifth in the shot put with a 12.6 – besting another of her school records.

Other record setting moments were Ben Jackson's 14.85 throw in the men's shot put. This beat the school record by nearly a full meter. Ross Whipple threw a personal best of 13.59 meters in the shot.
