Danielle Collins in the Australian Open semifinals is beyond surprising

Collins, 25, a two-time NCAA singles champion at Virginia who had never before won a Grand Slam match, is now the first player with a background in collegiate tennis to make it to the quarterfinals of a major since 2004.
