I always thought that he was in Humble Pie, and not the Herd......

He was in two bands at school & then joined The Herd as a 16yo, the band gained their big break when the Phillips record company offered them a contract on the Fontana label.

Frampton joined up with Steve Marriott of the Small Faces to form Humble Pie in the late 60's
