Engineering Lead (Mobile): Within
In addition to leading a small group of engineers across both Android and iOS, the ideal candidate brings strong skills in architecture, scalability, A/B testing, mobile SDK services integration, pipeline development, and optimization for mobile-specific hardware and low latency. The impact you’ll make: - Architect and implement scalable, stable mobile experiences - expanding the scope of the Within ecosystem - Represent mobile engineering in stakeholder discussions - Driving intelligent software design and implementation plans based on company vision and firm timelines with the flexibility to pivot - Evaluate code performance and quality, coach and mentor team members - Identify opportunities and risks, share best practices, and implement effective mobile development processes
What you’ll need to be successful: - CS, Software Engineering or an equivalent degree or equivalent work experience - Three years in advanced Swift/Objective-C or Java/Kotlin programming- Five or more years working in an engineering domain relevant to the listed responsibilities, including experience leading engineering teams- A proven track record of managing at least one mobile application end-to-end from concept to publishing on the iOS or Android app store- Excellent oral and written communication skills - able to break down technical concepts for non-technical team members
Bonus points for:
- Experience with WatchKit or Watch OS
- Professional Unity development experience
- Good understanding of UX/UI design
- Knowledge of VR or AR development
