A cool change sweeping across Victoria has helped slow the spread of a bushfire burning in the east, but the blaze could take weeks to put out. The emergency warning for the bushfire near Timbarra has been downgraded to advice. The fire is not yet under control, having burnt through more than 8,000 hectares.
