US President Donald Trump has endorsed a deal to reopen the government for three weeks until 15 February, after a record-breaking shutdown of federal agencies. The pact does not include any of the $US5.7 billion that President Trump has demanded for the US-Mexico border wall. About 800,000 federal employees have been furloughed or working without pay since December, plunging many government departments into chaos.
