Warriors’ Stephen Curry to face brother, Seth, at 3-point contest in hometown

BOSTON — Warriors guard Stephen Curry will compete against his younger brother, Seth, in the NBA 3-Point Contest at All-Star Weekend in their hometown of Charlotte, N.C., a league source has confirmed with The Chronicle.

ESPN was first to report the news.

The competition is Feb. 16 at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, where Stephen and Seth spent their formative years while their father, Dell, played for the Charlotte Hornets. Stephen went on to star at nearby Davidson College.

“Just being in Charlotte, there's a nice storyline,” Stephen told ESPN. “(Seth) was leading the league in percentage for a while.
