Liberal Party sources have indicated former deputy leader and foreign affairs minister Julie Bishop could resign before the federal election. The Australian reports foreign affairs specialist Erin Watson-Lynn is Ms Bishop's choice to replace her in the blue-ribbon seat of Curtin. Ms Watson-Lynn recently moved back to Perth, having stepped down from her position as Director of Diplomacy for Asialink at the University of Melbourne. Ms Bishop issued a statement following the resignation of Kelly O’Dwyer earlier this week, saying it was her 'intention to run' in the federal election. Image: News Corp Australia
