[Men's Volleyball] Grand View Starts Conference Play 1-0
Canton, MO - No. 1 Grand View men's volleyball kicked off Heart of America conference play with a win Friday evening at Culver-Stockton. The Vikings swept the Wildcats (25-15, 25-21, 25-13). This improves Grand View's overall record to 2-0 and 1-0 in the Heart.
Set One: Grand View University 25 | Culver-Stockton College 15
Grand View came out strong in set one a 6-0. The Vikings had a team total of 15 kills in set one compared to Wildcats nine total.
Set Two: Grand View University 25 | Culver-Stockton College 21
Culver-Stockton battled back in set two going point for point with the Vikings. Before the Vikings were able to pull ahead and finish the game with 15 team kills.
Set Three: Grand View University 25 | Culver-Stockton College 13
Grand View continued the momentum in the third set, getting an early lead and not allowing Culver-Stockton to come back.
Keys to Victory…
The Vikings led in team kills and hitting percentage in each set. This was led by Felix Chapman who tallied 11 kills on the night with a hitting percentage of .444. John Chamone closely followed Chapman with 10 kills and impressive hitting percentage of .615 for the Heart of America opening match up.

The Vikings host the Molten Invitational February 1-2. No. 1 Grand View will take on (RV) Cardinal Stritch at 7:30 PM on Friday and University of California Merced Saturday at 5:30 PM.
