Ex-Mets GM Sandy Alderson returns to Moneyball roots

Cancer-free, Sandy Alderson is rounding the bases home to where it all began.

The former Mets general manager is rejoining the Athletics as a Senior Advisor to Baseball Operations, the ball club announced on Tuesday.
