The Irving Police Department has honored two officers who saved a suicidal man by pulling him to safety atop a bridge on December 18, 2018. This footage shows bodycam video from the evening, when Officers Kyle Chaisson and Daniel Wilson – who is still in training – responded to reports of a man appearing as if he was about to jump from the bridge overlooking Century Center Boulevard. The men can be heard talking the man down from jumping and, in the last seconds, they reach out and pull him back to safety. Both officers were awarded lifesaving bars for their swift action.
