Warriors’ DeMarcus Cousins: ‘This process isn’t over for me’
DeMarcus Cousins was honest about his performance through six games with the Warriors.
“Obviously, I’m still not where I want to be,” he said Thursday night after making his home debut in a 113-104 loss to the 76ers. “I’m working my tail off every day to get back to being that player or better. This process isn’t over for me.”
In his toughest test since returning from a left Achilles tendon injury, Cousins collected seven points on 3-for-10 shooting and six rebounds in his usual limited minutes, 25. He came into the game averaging 15.2 points, but Thursday’s matchup was different from the rest because he opposed Joel Embiid in an old-school duel of elite big men.
Embiid had a huge night with 26 points and 20 rebounds in 34 minutes.
