A man was sentenced today to six years in prison for having sex with a corpse. "The offenses that you have committed are against any human sensibility," said Judge Melbourne Inman in passing sentence against Kasim Khuram, 23. "I am not aware of or able to find a similar case," he added. "It is hard to imagine greater deprivation of dignity for the deceased".


The facts date back to 11 November in the Birmingham area. The man, hooded, broke into the bedroom at 3am where several corpses awaited burial. According to the report of the authorities, quoted by the British press, Kasim Khuram then opened several coffins and raped one of the corpses.
