Shadow Treasurer Chris Bowen says the banking royal commission’s final report will be a ‘damning indictment’ of the Coalition government and its senior figures, despite not having seen it himself. The government only agreed to the enquiry following significant pressure including those in the banking industry. Commissioner Kenneth Hayne’s final report will be released on Monday, three days after it was delivered.
