Obituaries

BRIFFA. On February 1, at Betania Convent, Msida, Sr ANICETA of the Franciscan Sisters of the Heart of Jesus, aged 87, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss the Franciscan Sisters of the Heart of Jesus, her sisters Emmanuela, Therese and Victoria, her brother Costantino and his wife Antoinette, her nieces Deborah, Lara and Maria and their respective spouses and families, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated today, Saturday, February 2, at 2.15pm at the Church of the Franciscan Sisters, Msida, followed by interment at the Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest. 

GIORGIO. On January 31, FRANK, age 87, originally from Sliema, passed away peacefully at Casa Antonia, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his sister Marie Elena, his brother Herbert and his wife Penny, and the family of his late brother Joe, residing in Australia. The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 4, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.30am at Balzan Parish Church, followed by interment at Żebbuġ cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
