Breaking: Narrow escape for Osinbajo as VP’s chopper crash-lands in Kabba, Kogi state (photo)
What would have been a national tragedy was averted on Saturday, February 2, 2019, as the chopper of the Nigeria’s vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, crash-landed in Kabba, a town in Kogi state.
The spokesperson, Laolu Aknade, confirmed the incident, but said the vice president was safe and that no casualties were recorded.
"VP Osinbajo's Chopper crash lands in Kabba, but he and the entire crew safe. He is continuing with his engagements and plans for the day in Kogi state," Akande posted on Twitter.

The incident was also confirmed by the vice president.
"All thanks and glory to God, the chopper we boarded today from Abuja just crash landed in Kabba, Kogi State, and the entire crew plus myself are all safe.
"We are continuing with our Next Level Engagements and plans for Kogi State," he said with a video attached to the message.
