Golden Knights at Lightning OddsShark Matchup Report

Vegas Golden Knights Notes

Before going just 2-6 in their last eight games, the Golden Knights were on fire with a 7-0 run through late December and early January. But since beating the Pittsburgh Penguins 7-3 back on January 19, Vegas has struggled to find offense with just six goals over its last four games.

Even with the recent slump, the Golden Knights still sit comfortably in the third spot ahead of the rest of the Pacific Division at 29-21-4 through 54 games.

This will be Vegas’ 11th game as a betting underdog this season. In their previous 10 games as an underdog this season, the Knights are only 1-9 straight up per the OddsShark NHL Database.

Tampa Bay Lightning Notes

With 30 games still remaining on their regular season schedule, the Lightning look to be in total control of the Presidents’ Trophy for the league’s best record. Tampa Bay’s 80 points with a 39-11-2 record are seven points ahead of the Calgary Flames in second place in the standings with 73 points. Nikita Kucherov is the league’s leading scorer with 79 points to date as the Lightning lead the league in scoring with 3.88 goals per game. Tampa Bay is 20-5-0 at home this season.

Knights at Lightning Total

Tuesday night’s total is set at 6.5 goals. The UNDER is 6-1 in Tampa Bay’s last seven games.

The Golden Knights swept the season series against Tampa Bay last season with a 4-1 win at home and a 4-3 win in Tampa Bay, but this year the Lightning turned the tide with a 3-2 victory over the Golden Knights in Vegas.

Needless to say, the Golden Knights will have to do a lot better than the 1.5 goals per game they’ve been averaging over their last four games if they hope to upset the league’s best home team.
