Wayne Rooney reveals stance on Pochettino to Man United links

Wayne Rooney has said Manchester United should aim to appoint Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer isn’t given the permanent job.

Solskjaer has won nine out of 10 games since taking over from Jose Mourinho as United interim manager last month, including a 1-0 victory over Spurs at White Hart Lane.

But prior to Solskjaer turning United around, Pochettino was being heavily linked with the post.

A decision is set to be made on Solskjaer’s future in the summer.

And Rooney believes Pochettino is the “right guy” for United if his former club decides to go in another direction to Solskjaer at the end of the season.
