So how much does USL care about Tacoma Defiance?

Late last Wednesday, for an East coast news story, it was announced that the Seattle Sounders FC 2 were rebranding as Tacoma Defiance. If you were to only to visit the www.uslchampionship.com site, the league that Defiance play in, for all of your soccer news you would not know it had happened. No news story has been published about the change despite the fact that a few working days have already past plus a weekend. The site publishes many news stories each day so it is not from a lack of effort. The last story about Tacoma was the coaching change. Of course it goes without saying that every other part of the USL website still says Sounders FC 2 be it the schedule, rosters, etc. I can kind of excuse this in that it might take a bit of time to change things over. It is more than a find/replace on the web pages and in the databases on the backend but it seems really strange not to have any story at all.

Put on your tinfoil hat and share your rational for not a peep about the rebrand by USL.
