ShaQ trade to Miami -vs- AD trade to Lakers. Laker Writers need to talk about this, why not?
Laker fans, Think about this ok. In 2004 Shaq went to Miami and Lakers got, (Caron Butler, Lamar Odom, Brian Grant, and a future first-round draft choice (who would turn into Jordan Farmar in the 2006 draft). Lakers got robbed! Heat went on to win NBA championship the following year. But that's not my point, here is my point.
Question; So you telling me that Anthony Davis is worth that much more than Shaq was?
Question; Do you think the Heat would have traded 7 players and 2 FRDPicks? and additional 2SRDPicks?
Answer? Hell no! Absolutely freaking HELL NO.
Listen, I was going to post many AD vs ShaQ stats just to show you that Shaq was actually better and way more dominating in the league than AD is now, but I'm not going to waste your time posting those stats here, but if you have a bit of curiosity then here are some links. , . But i have a different message than stats and debating who was better, more valuable and more dominating. I believe the year that ShaQ left to the heat he was way more dominating and valuable that the AD of today.
But why are Laker writers or ESPN not talking about this? I'm screaming my head off watching them write about trading all of our young Laker core, analyzing it day after day. I was sick of hearing it i can imagine the players OMG. Sometimes i wonder what side are Laker writers are on. The Shaq-Trade comparison question/discussion should have been discussed prior to the NBA trade deadline and it wasn't. If that discussion took place, then ESPN and other networks wouldn't have ran their videos and stories over and over again about how the "Lakers have to give up everything". Hey, that's the reason why the Pelicans asked for everything. Because ESPN and others kept saying it over and over and over again.
Anyway, i'm just shocked that we would even entertain the thought, but it goes to show you how strong and influenceable the media actually is.
The media needs to talk about the Shaq trade and ask the question, "Are you saying that Shaq wasnt worth 11 players" or was this whole thing a fraud setup by the media to get the Lakers to make the worst trade in NBA history?
I seriously wouldn't trade for AD in the summer, i'd wait till 2020 and get him keeping all young core! I'm 100% certain that if NOP trade him anywhere else they are just renting him for a year, and so -
Checkmate Pelicans and Media for trying to destroy Laker Nation.
