FULL INTERVIEW: Families Minister Paul Fletcher says the government is taking ‘a range of responses’ to combat violence against women and children. Under the Coalition’s plan announced on Monday, $60 million will be allocated to eligible organisations to provide emergency housing for victims while another $18 million will go towards providing resources. Mr Fletcher has told Sky News emergency shelters are having to ‘turn away women,’ which is why the government is boosting funding to this sector.
