A vape pen overheated and caused a fire in the overhead bin of as people boarded a Houston-bound flight from New York’s LaGuardia Airport on Wednesday, February 13. This footage, shot by NowThis producer Rex Sakamoto, shows a glimpse of a stewardess extinguishing the fire while other personnel and passengers watch. According to reports from WCVB, the plane was Skywest flight 3879, and the fire was caused by the vape pen’s battery pack overheating. No injuries were reported.
