Former player says he wishes he was still at Spurs, and curses his mistakes

Tottenham Hotspur faced off against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League last week, managing to defeat the German League leaders 3-0 in the first leg.

Spurs now have one foot in the quarter finals of this year’s competition, however they will be unable to be drawn against another English side at this stage.

One team that does face strong English opposition in Europe this week is Schalke 04, who come up against Premier League holders Manchester City.

Spurs may recognise one familiar face in the Schalke line up, as a young Nabil Bentaleb once wore the Lilywhite jersey.
