Partially-paralysed dog Scooty enthusiastically greets 'uncle'

Seven-year-old Scooty has a permanent spinal cord injury and is partially paralysed with crushed hips after being hit by a car as a puppy in Mexico.

The golden retriever/cocker spaniel mix (who may or may not have some other breeds mixed in) was fortunately rescued by owner Erica Loring.

When Erica first adopted Scooty shortly after her accident, they lived with her best friend, Mike. Despite Scooty's injuries, she still enthusiastically welcomes him, even when she's not wearing her usual set of wheels.

"Years later, Scooty has never forgotten her first months with Mike and was very excited to see him again," said Erica. "She couldn't control her legs."
