[Baseball] TSWA Recognizes Burris as Baseball Player of the Week

DAYTON, Tenn. – Lake Burris (SR/Chatsworth, Ga.), a senior first baseman from Chatsworth, Ga. and former standout of North Murray High School, has played an instrumental role in 15th-ranked Bryan College baseball's impressive 9-3 start to this season, which includes eight wins against teams receiving votes in the latest NAIA Coaches' Top-25 poll. The top-ranked Lions are coming off an impressive 3-1 week where they outlasted (RV) Mid-South Conference opponent Cumberland University (7-6) before taking the series 2-1 from (RV) River States Conference foe Indiana University Southeast (L-8-10, W-8-7, W-7-2). During that stretch, Burris' bat has been busy, which has earned him Player of the Week honors by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association for his efforts in contests from February 11-17.
