Former chief minister for the Northern Territory Adam Giles says outside of Australian cities, climate change is not a trigger point for deciding who to vote for. Labor has retained its six-point lead over the Coalition in The Australian’s Newspoll, despite the government’s recent attack on the opposition over border protection. Mr Giles says there are two different Australias when it comes to an election.
