Armenian-Chinese cooperation programs discussed with deputy prime minister

Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan on Thursday received Chinese Ambassador Tian Erlong to discuss cooperation projects between Armenia and China.

Expressing the Government's high appreciation of the mutually beneficial interstate ties, Avinyan promised future active efforts towards developing and deepening them further.

According to the Government's press service, the sides discussed the activities of the Armenian-Chinese Intergovernmental Committee, which is planning to hold its regular session soon  They also thoroughly considered plans for expanding the Armenian exports to China and initiating new projects in the energy and transport sectors. As an important step towards boosting tourism, and the business dialogue, they also discussed procedures for facilitating the visa regime.  

The Chinese Government's gratuitous assistance program for Armenia was also part of the meeting agenda. The ambassador and the deputy premier also considered Armenia's attendance at the 2019 China International Import Expo set to be held in Shanghai.
