The Pininfarina Battista; one of the fastest cars in the world and all electric

This is the Pininfarina Battista.

Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, it can hit 100 kph (62 mph) in less than two seconds and will cost more than EUR2 million.

And it's all electric.

Pininfarina was an Italian car designer, that hadn't made its own vehicles until it was brought by India's Mahindra group three years ago. Mahindra, which already owned Korean carmaker Ssangyong and operates a Formula E racing team, turned the company into a luxury manufacturer.

The Battista is one of a new generation of hypercars and has a top speed of 400km/h, putting it on, if not atop, the list of the world's fastest road cars.

Half of the limited 150 model production run have already been sold.
