IIRC where a club goes out of business before the end of a season or a club is expelled then any points for and against are expunged as if they didn't exist at the start of that season. That way no club can be seen to have benefitted. Some clubs may have played and beaten them twice but others only once and would have played them after they ceased to be a league member.
However, I might have imagined seeing that somewhere.
