“I’ve been playing through pain” – Tottenham defender opens up about injury struggles

Tottenham full back Ben Davies came back into action in the 2-0 defeat to Chelsea last week after missing several weeks of football due to a groin injury. Davies’ absence even forced Pochettino to play Jan Vertonghen at left wing back in the first leg against Dortmund as Danny Rose is still not fit enough to play more than a game a week.

Davies has been one of the most consistent features of Pochettino’s side in the last couple of years due to Rose’s injury troubles but the Welshman has admitted that he has been struggling with the groin problem for a year, and often had to play through pain.
