Passengers on a whale watching boat in Newport Beach, California, on March 5 were treated to a rare sight when they came across a pod of false killer whales. A video shared by Newport Landing Whale Watching showed how close the whales swam to the boat, and underwater cameras also provided great shots of the whales beneath the waves. “Bow riding and riding the wake of the vessel, these animals came within inches of passengers,” wrote the tour company.
