Sky News host Laura Jayes says NRL players need to take violence against women seriously. The NRL recently introduced a ‘no-fault-rule’, which stipulates that players facing charges that carry a jail term of 11 years or more will be stood down until the court proceedings are completed. The policy is being tested in the federal court, with St George forward Jack de Belin challenging his own ban after being charged with aggravated sexual assault. Ms Jayes says she ‘doesn’t see how’ anyone can be against the rule, and says the players need to ‘pull their socks up’ and treat women with respect.
