[Men's Tennis] Men's tennis opens spring season against Tennessee Wesleyan

MONTREAT, N.C. – The Montreat College men's tennis team opened its spring season on Monday against Appalchian Athletic Conference opponent Tennessee Wesleyan University. Facing off against the Bulldogs proved to be challenging as the squad fell 9-0 to the Bulldogs.

In doubles play, no. 2 pair Grayson Chumley and David Garcia fought hard for a win but came up short in the tie breaker with a score of 9-8 (5).

In singles play, no. 1 Jackson Plyler would challenge his opponent before facing defeat, 6-2, 6-3. Freshman Christian Johnson also won multiple games before finishing with a score of 6-2, 6-2, while senior David Garcia lost in a similar fashion, 6-0, 6-3.
