Lori Loughlin reportedly left the set of a Hallmark movie to be arrested by the FBI

Add Hallmark to the growing list of networks that will have to deal with one of its stars facing criminal charges.

Actress Lori Loughlin on Wednesday surrendered to the FBI after being indicted as part of an investigation into an alleged scam involving parents paying bribes to get their children into college. She wasn't home when agents arrived to arrest her on Tuesday, and ABC News reports that's because she was in Canada filming a movie for Hallmark.

Loughlin is a Hallmark staple, having starred in many of the network's movies including the Garage Sale Mystery series, four more of which were expected to be on the way, per USA Today. Deadline reports it was one of these Garage Sale Mystery movies that she was filming. Garage Sale Mysteries: Searched & Seized reportedly began production in Vancouver at the end of January.

Outside of these films, Loughlin also stars on Hallmark's TV series When Calls the Heart, which is in the middle of airing its sixth season. Asked for comment by Jezebel, Hallmark said it was "aware of the situation and monitoring developments as they arise."
