Oracle's near-record high stock wobbles after earnings beat
Oracle Corp. shares traded between slight gains and losses in the extended session Thursday after the enterprise software company topped Wall Street estimates. Oracle shares, which had been up about 1% after hours, were last down 0.4%, following a less than 0.1% decline to close the regular session at $53.05, a penny shy of its all-time closing high. The company reported fiscal third-quarter net income of $2.75 billion, or 76 cents a share, compared with a loss of $4.05 billion, or 98 cents a share, in the year-ago period. Adjusted earnings were 87 cents a share. Revenue declined to $9.61 billion from $9.68 billion in the year-ago quarter. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had forecast earnings of 84 cents a share on revenue of $9.58 billion.
