Free Vessel Safety Check

The Coast Guard Auxiliary has offered to perform free Vessel Safety Checks for a minimum 2 boat owners.  Boats that pass the inspection will receive a Safety Vessel Inspection Decal.   Please call the FLCA at 540-972-1000 if you are interested in having your boat inspected.  The Owner must be with the boat during the inspection and have the following documentation:  (1) Boat Title; (2) the blue registration card for VA boat numbers, unless the boat will never leave Fawn Lake; (3) a Safety Certificate from the State of Virginia if already received (as of 7/1/16 all power boat operators are required to have passed the Safety Class and have a Safety Certificate).  The boat inspection will let the owner know what safety equipment is important.  The Coast Guard Auxiliary does not issue citations.
