One Person Dead After Shooting On Leverette Ave. In Fayetteville; Suspect Identified

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KFSM) — Fayetteville Police are on the scene after two people were shot at an apartment complex on 900 N. Leverett Ave. in Fayetteville. Police say one of the victims has died.

5NEWS reporter Julianna Clipson was on the scene at South Creekside Apartment Complex and says one person was taken away on a stretcher while EMT's performed CPR.

According to Crpl. Dallas Brashears, two victims with suspected gunshot wounds were taken to an area hospital. Investigators have name Dekota Harvey, 22, as the suspect. He is wanted for first-degree murder, according to police. Investigators believe the suspect knew the victims.

The second victims condition is unknown at this time.
