Education ministry adds ‘youth’ and ‘sports’ to its name

The ministry of education and culture on Friday had ‘sports’ and ‘youth’ added to its name to fully reflect its mission, an announcement said.

The renaming was approved by the cabinet following a suggestion by the ministry itself so that its mission and the full range of its responsibilities at national and European level can be clearer, it said.

It will be from now on known as ministry of education, culture, sports and youth.
