Preview: Red-hot Xavier will be taking on #1 seed Villanova this afternoon, and it will take some solid defense from Nova to keep the Musketeers at bay. Xavier has won their last seven out of eight games which included a win against Villanova in that span.
Prediction: I’ll be taking Xavier with the points in this one, winning seven of their last eight games, they are the hottest team in the Big East. They will give Nova a tough time in the last eight minutes of the game.
Preview: The Seton Hall Pirates head into this matchup with a boatload of confidence after thumping Georgetown 73-57 on Thursday night. Will they match with the high tempo game of Marquette and Markus Howard, who had 30 yesterday on 8 of 15 shooting.
Prediction: Marquette just seems too strong for Seton Hall to keep up with in this one. They have scored 80 points in back to back games averaging 77.7 a game. If Howard comes to play again this may end up in a blowout. I’ll be taking Marquette (-6.5) in this one
