Longueuil police seek potential victims of sexual-exploitation suspect
Longueuil police have turned to the public in an effort to find any other potential victims of a 38-year-old man facing a charge of sexual exploitation and luring a child.
Police arrested Charles Fortin on Thursday. Investigators allege Fortin, who up until his arrest was a music teacher at Antoine-Brossard high school in Brossard, was engaged in a relationship with a teenage girl while he was in a position of authority over her.
Fortin appeared in court Thursday and was released on a $500 bond and with a series of conditions including not to contact the alleged victim.
He is scheduled to return to court on April 26.
Police said on Friday that since announcing Fortin’s arrest they have received information that suggests he may have had other victims. Anyone with any information on the case or the suspect is urged to call 450-463-7211. All calls will be treated confidentially.
