Lord Sugar rips into Arsenal on social media
Former Tottenham Hotspur chairman Lord Sugar has taken to Twitter to mock Arsenal’s involvement in the Europa League.
Sugar was replying to a Tweet from Piers Morgan, who is known for his support of Spurs’ North London rivals on social media.
Morgan posted a photo of Gunners striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang celebrating his goal in last night’s win against Rennes which saw the striker childishly wear a mask from the film Black Panther.
The host of the BBC’s Apprentice didn’t mince his words by comparing Arsenal’s opponents to the European equivalent of Hamilton Academicals, who occupy 10th spot in the Scottish Premiership.
Tottenham find themselves in the quarter final of the Champions League, where they will face Manchester City while Arsenal have drawn Napoli in the lesser competition of the Europa League.
While many do not fondly remember Sugar’s tenure in charge at White Hart Lane, most will certainly appreciate him mocking their rivals.
Thursday night against European Hamilton Academical F.C. equivalent . Don't get too excited . Little things please little minds https://t.co/vDJjNBzBD2
