Nepal drub B’desh 3-0 to enter semis as group winners

BIRATNAGAR: Nepal secured a 3-0 victory over Bangladesh on Saturday to book a place in the semi-final of the ongoing 5th SAFF women’s football championship at Martyr’s Stadium in Biratnagar.
Nepal took the lead after an own goal by Masura Prabhin in the 6th minute.
Sabitra Bhandari made it 2-0 in the 23rd minute and Manjali Kumari Yonzon scored the third for Nepal in the 28th minute to take the scoreline to 3-0 before half-time.
With this, Nepal are through to the semis of the championship as group A winners.
In the next fixture, Nepal are set to clash with Group B runner up on Wednesday. India and Sri Lanka are playing tomorrow to decide the winner and the runner-up in group B.
