My wife says she’ll leave me if I don’t stop abusing alcohol immediately
DEAR DEIDRE: MY wife is threatening to leave me unless I stop drinking entirely.
I am 29, my wife is 30 and we have been married for three years. I drank daily when we met – just a couple of cans in the evening.
She became very annoyed at this and asked me to cut down, which I did, to three evenings a week.
Now she thinks this is not enough. She says I have an alcohol problem and I risk losing her unless I stop drinking completely.
It is my way of relaxing. I do not see it as a problem because I never have any trouble waking up, doing my job or helping round the house.

ONE in four young people see porn before they are teens, so no wonder it’s tougher than ever for couples to agree on the boundaries for sex.

DEIDRE SAYS: Depending on the strength of the beer, you appear to be drinking about 12 units a week, which is within the NHS guidelines.
Ask her calmly why she is so bothered about it.
