LIONEL MESSI scored an absolute wondergoal during his hat-trick for Barcelona today – and fans are convinced he’s now officially the greatest of all time.

The Argentine legend, 31, scored three during Barca’s 4-1 win over Real Betis, including a sensational, silky chip.

Picking up the ball on the left-hand side of the box, Messi somehow managed to chip the keeper, with his left foot into the far right corner in a mind-boggling feat of skill.

The audacious effort magnificently drifted into the net leaving jaws on the floor across the globe – having already scored twice in the first half, including a beautiful free-kick.

Now fans say the long-running Messi vs Cristiano Ronaldo argument is over – with the Barcelona man stealing the title.
