I'm not buying the idea that we haven't had any good fortune this season.

Bolton. Didn't look like scoring until Alis cross. 2 extra points
Bristol at home we were going nowhere until they went down to 10 men. 2 extra points
BPFs last minute pen save v Reading 2 extra points.

11 points gained by luck.


The late late goals v Blackburn, Villa, Boro. 9 points instead of 2


In fact even if you ignore those last three games and considered the first six and took half the points we made.

By my back of a fag packet calculations Norwich would be out of sight and Blades would be 6 ahead. Baggies would be level but ahead on GD
