[Baseball] Truett McConnell Completes AAC Series Sweep over Point, 12-4

CLEVELAND, Ga. – Point University (18-10; 4-5 AAC) lost its third consecutive game, 12-4, at Truett McConnell University (14-8; 8-1 AAC), March 17, in Cleveland, Ga., and suffered its first Appalachian Athletic Conference series sweep of the season.  The Skyhawks began the game with a bang, scoring three runs in the first inning, but the Bears countered with seven runs and nine hits in the first two innings.  Both teams reached double figures in hits.  Coached by John Tyler (third season), Point hosts Faulkner University (22-6), the number three-ranked team in the NAIA, Tuesday, March 19, on Skyhawk Field at 5 p.m., and plays a three-game AAC weekend series at Milligan College (8-6; 1-6 AAC), Friday, March 22 (4 p.m. single game) and Saturday, March 23 (1 p.m. doubleheader).
